About the role

As a commercial combined underwriter, you\'ll behandling existing businesscases across all of our specialisms.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Underwriting a renewal book across a wide array of specialisms, including charity, care, heritage, education, office and leisure
  • You’ll have your own monthly renewal allocation and also deal with a select few of our large cases
  • Day to day work including mid-term adjustments, client queries, reviewing surveys – all to a high standard, with clear and effective communication
  • Communicating with our brokers to deliver consistently high service levels and retention of policies
  • Collaborating with other members of the team, including technical referral points, and wider networking across the Benefact Group to incorporate Risk Management, Claims, Sales etc.

What you\'ll need to have

  • Commercial combined / Property underwriting experience
  • Cert CII qualified or a willingness to achieve qualifications within an agreed timescale
  • Attention to detail
  • Resilient, positive and pro-active with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to challenge and identify opportunities for improvement
