About the role

Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, is seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join our Commercial Lines team in Taunton. The ideal candidate will be an experienced insurance professional seeking their next career step. You will support our Commercial Lines team by providing expert insurance advice to clients via phone and email, aiming to maintain high retention levels and meet income targets aligned with our business strategy. Key responsibilities

  • Support your Line Manager and team to achieve retention and income targets, service KPIs, and workflow standards.
  • Act as deputy to your Line Manager.
  • Provide support and coaching to ensure consistent process and advice, adhering to procedures and guidelines.
  • Promote service excellence, embodying 'Treating Customers Fairly' and prioritising client outcomes.
  • Support team members' professional development, including qualifications and technical knowledge.
  • Organise and monitor daily workflow and productivity.
  • Foster our values and culture within the team.
  • Encourage business opportunities, promote insurance reviews, and meet client survey targets.
  • Assist with competency assessments and call/file reviews.
  • Review and improve processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Support complaints handling processes.
  • Represent the company professionally at association events.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of relevant products, market trends, and underwriting guidelines.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

  • Experience within the UK Insurance Market.
  • Ability to commute to Taunton office on a hybrid basis (3+ times/week).
  • Chartered Institute Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII).
  • Willingness to pursue a Diploma in Insurance with support.
