About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance, proudly part of the Benefact Group, are looking for a Claims Handler to join our Gloucester office.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Commercial property claims team. This team handles Intermediated claims, working together with Brokers to provide an exceptional Customer experience and support our Commercial Customers in their time of need.

What you\’ll be doing
- Delivery of exceptional Broker and Customer experience, effectively communicating with all key internal and external stakeholders from initial notification through to final settlement
- Manage claims within your authority whilst working in line with the claims and technical handling guides and through application of conversation management skills
- To actively manage case load by regularly reviewing and reporting on individual claims portfolio
- Monitoring, maintaining and developing personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development, supported by our Claims Faculty and robust coaching programme
- Escalating all risks to the business, including identification of complaints and fraud, reporting and resolving in line with company policy
What you\’ll need to have
- Commitment to deliver exceptional service contributing both as an individual and as an effective part of a team, whilst containing costs in line with technical standards
- Strong negotiation skills both verbal and written
- Track record of delivering excellence
- Demonstrate ability to manage a caseload of Property claims
- The ability to plan, prioritise and manage own work to deliver agreed objectives and meet targets
