These opportunities offer the chance to join established disputes practices handling sophisticated, high-value matters for a diverse client base, including financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, multinational businesses, investors and high-net-worth individuals.

The firms offer distinct practice environments, including exposure to international and cross-border disputes, offshore litigation, corporate recovery and complex insolvency proceedings. We are particularly interested in speaking with UK-qualified lawyers who have a strong contentious background and are looking to develop their expertise within insolvency and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on contentious insolvency and restructuring matters, including corporate recovery, creditor disputes, liquidation proceedings and disputes arising from financial distress.
  • Managing complex commercial litigation, including contractual, corporate, shareholder and financial services disputes.
  • Acting on matters involving civil fraud, asset tracing, recovery and enforcement, including cross-border disputes.
  • Advising insolvency practitioners, creditors, financial institutions, businesses and other stakeholders on contentious matters.
  • Handling court proceedings, interim applications, injunctions and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation.
  • Working alongside colleagues across corporate, restructuring, finance and international disputes teams.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, legal opinions and other contentious documentation.
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice.

Applicants MUST be admitted and qualified as Solicitors in England & Wales. This is a mandatory requirement for both opportunities. Approximately 3–8+ years' post-qualification experience, depending on the specific opportunity. Relevant experience in contentious insolvency, restructuring disputes, commercial litigation or a closely related contentious practice. Exposure to matters involving liquidations, administrations, creditor disputes, corporate recovery or complex financial disputes. Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation and client management skills. Experience managing litigation matters and working with senior lawyers, counsel and external advisers. Commercial awareness and the ambition to develop within a leading disputes practice. Experience in offshore litigation, international disputes, civil fraud, asset recovery or financial services litigation would be particularly advantageous for certain opportunities. Candidates with strong commercial litigation backgrounds and some exposure to insolvency-related disputes are also encouraged to enquire.
