We are currently working with a highly regarded commercial law firm looking to expand its London Employment team with the appointment of an ambitious Employment Associate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-respected team advising a broad portfolio of clients ranging from high-growth businesses through to established national and international organisations.

The successful candidate will work on a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, supporting clients across a range of sectors including technology, life sciences, insurance, private wealth and real estate investment. The role offers exposure to high-quality work, direct client contact, and the opportunity to develop into a trusted adviser on complex workplace and strategic employment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employment Tribunal litigation and dispute resolution
  • Day-to-day HR and employee relations matters
  • Corporate support and transactional employment work
  • Outsourcing and restructuring projects
  • Executive exits and settlement negotiations
  • Restrictive covenant and post-termination disputes
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and procedures
  • Delivering client training and employment law updates

This is a commercially focused role within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The Team

You will be joining an established and growing London Employment practice that forms part of a wider national employment group with significant expertise across multiple offices throughout the UK. The team advises a broad and diverse client base across a range of commercial sectors and is recognised for handling complex and high-value employment matters. Due to confidentiality, further details regarding the wider structure, clients and leadership team will be discussed during the process.

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with candidates who:

  • Have 2+ years' PQE within employment law
  • Have trained or gained experience within a reputable commercial law firm
  • Possess strong technical employment law knowledge
  • Deliver practical and commercially focused advice
  • Are confident managing matters with increasing autonomy
  • Enjoy developing client relationships and working collaboratively
  • Have excellent communication, drafting and organisational skills

Experience in tribunal litigation, restrictive covenants, corporate support work or business development would be advantageous but is not essential.
