We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a specialist Government Medical Support team within a leading international healthcare organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically experienced nurse looking to move into a more varied and internationally focused position, using their nursing knowledge to assess complex medical cases, provide clinical guidance and coordinate appropriate care for individuals across different healthcare settings.

The role would suit someone who enjoys clinical decision-making, case ownership and working with a wide range of healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The Role:

As a Senior Nurse Medical Advisor, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing complex medical cases, providing clinical advice and supporting the coordination of care for government and international clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing clinical information, symptoms, medical reports and treatment plans
  • Providing appropriate clinical advice and identifying potential risks
  • Managing and monitoring complex medical cases from initial referral through to resolution
  • Liaising with hospitals, treating clinicians and other healthcare providers
  • Coordinating referrals, investigations and ongoing treatment where appropriate
  • Supporting medical transfers, evacuations and repatriation cases
  • Assessing patients' suitability and fitness for travel where required
  • Maintaining clear and accurate clinical documentation
  • Escalating complex or high-risk cases appropriately
  • Providing reassurance and clear communication to patients, families and stakeholders
  • Working autonomously while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary clinical team

About You:

We are looking for a currently registered nurse with strong clinical assessment skills and the confidence to make sound decisions in complex situations.

Suitable backgrounds may include:

  • A&E / Emergency Department
  • ICU / ITU
  • HDU
  • Acute Medicine
  • Critical Care
  • Acute Surgical Nursing
  • Medical Assistance
  • Remote or Telephone Triage
  • Military or Government Healthcare

You should be comfortable assessing clinical risk, recognising deterioration, prioritising cases and communicating confidently with both healthcare professionals and non-clinical stakeholders.

Previous experience within medical assistance, international healthcare, insurance, repatriation or government healthcare would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why Apply?

This role offers an opportunity to move beyond traditional bedside nursing while continuing to use your clinical judgement every day.

You will gain exposure to complex international medical cases, government healthcare support, medical assistance and repatriation, while developing your experience within a specialist and highly collaborative clinical environment.
