Join to apply for the M&A integration analyst role at Bending Spoons .
At Bending Spoons, we strive to build one of the all‑time great companies: a place where hundreds of customers can thrive, team members realise their full potential, and we create extraordinary value for shareholders while upholding high ethical standards.
Our strategy is simple: acquire digital businesses with untapped potential, maximise their success using our platform of expertise, technology, data, brand, and culture, and reinvest the proceeds to grow further. We blend investor discipline with a hands‑on operator approach.
Responsibilities
- Due diligence and post‑M&A integration : oversee financial and tax due diligence for acquisitions and support lead post‑M&A integration to ensure smooth financial, operational, and reporting alignment.
- Accounting, reporting, and financial planning : prepare accurate financial statements and reports, maintain precision across all records, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage budgets and achieve financial objectives.
- Investor relations and fundraising support : help prepare board meetings and minutes, own financing to support M&A, and engage with banks, investors, and institutional stakeholders.
- Compliance : ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements with accounting standards, tax regulations, and fiscal requirements; establish and enhance internal controls; facilitate external and internal audit processes.
- Equity plans : optimise and manage our equity plans, ensure effective implementation, and support Spooners with equity‑plan questions and requests.
- Fiscal optimization : identify fiscal incentives and design the group’s intercompany flow strategy.
What we look for
- Reasoning ability : solve complex problems from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist biases, and focus on details that matter.
- Drive : be extremely ambitious, take initiative, exert effort and tenacity, and hold oneself to a high and rising bar.
- Team spirit : give generously, support the best idea rather than your own, help the team, and act reliably, honestly, and transparently.
- English proficiency : read, write, and speak proficiently in English.
What we offer
- Talented, entrepreneurial teams : work in small, result‑oriented, autonomous teams with the brightest people in your field.
- Opportunity for growth : we place high‑potential individuals in positions where they can thrive; Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars and soon take on essential roles in major projects.
- Competitive pay and equity : annual salary ranges from £85,797 to £250,512 in London and €66,065 to €188,848 elsewhere in Europe, with room for growth. Permanent employees may receive equity at a discounted price. Additional benefits include a tax cut when relocating to Italy.
