As the Business Relationship Director, you will work across the state, partnering with a niche portfolio of large commercial customers with complex and evolving needs, to provide tailored services that will enable your clients to succeed.

As an experienced and seasoned business banker and a passionate sales professional, you will manage a portfolio of specialist customers, prospect for new business opportunities within your local communities, and maintain exemplary customer service. You will work closely with Regional Managers to attract and retain opportunities, focusing on targeted business development activities and delivering win-win solutions.

  • Ready for a high-stakes commercial lending portfolio? We’re seeking a seasoned professional to manage a niche client portfolio with individual needs exceeding $10 million TAE.
  • You’ll be the senior face of Bendigo Bank in your community. Develop and implement targeted strategies to elevate our profile, forging strong relationships and strategic networks with local businesses and community leaders.
  • This is about more than transactions; it’s about transformations. You’ll engage clients in insightful conversations, crafting bespoke financial solutions that address their unique needs.
  • Growth is in your DNA. You’ll be a hunter, actively seeking and securing new clients, cultivating deep, lasting relationships that become the bedrock of your success.
  • Lead the charge in business development. Identify and spearhead initiatives that propel our growth in the local region.
  • Collaborate with a network of trusted partnerships. You’ll partner with respected introducers, including our Corporate and Community Bank Branches, leveraging their established community ties to amplify your impact.
  • Master the art of relationship management. Forge strong internal networks with enterprise leaders, business support teams, and our Credit Risk team.

To be part of the journey, you’ll bring to the role:

  • A tertiary qualification in business, finance or a related discipline.
  • The ability to undertake travel and possession of a current driver license.

We would also love you to have:

  • Deep expertise in complex business lending and credit risk principles.
  • Financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of business banking market conditions, products, cash flows and markets.
  • The ability to think outside the square to develop innovative, customer-centric solutions.
