Gold Arthur is a Finnish company specialising in the purchase and appraisal of precious metals, particularly gold and silver. We have built a trusted, transparent, and customer-focused mobile service model that now operates across Finland, Sweden, and the UK.
Due to rapid expansion, we are strengthening our UK team with skilled and detail-oriented Precious Metal Evaluators based in Surrey.
The RolesGold Arthur is seeking five qualified and motivated individuals to join our growing refining and analytical operations as Gold Assayers. These positions are critical to ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and quality of gold testing across our mobile buying and refining workflow.
Role OverviewThe Gold Assayer will be responsible for testing, analysing, and verifying the purity of gold and other precious metals collected by our mobile agents throughout the UK. The role involves operating XRF and fire-assay equipment, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring accurate data transfer to our refining and finance systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform XRF and/or fire-assay testing on incoming gold material.
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody and recordkeeping for all samples.
- Document assay results for compliance and settlement processes.
- Liaise with Gold Arthur agents, UK refinery partners, and management.
- Support development of in-house testing protocols and calibration routines.
- Adhere to LBMA and UK regulatory standards for gold purity analysis.
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in gold assay, metallurgy, or precious metal testing.
- Degree or diploma in chemistry, metallurgy, or materials science preferred.
- Skilled in using XRF analysers and fire-assay furnaces.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025, LBMA, and AML documentation standards.
- Detail-oriented with excellent data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and manage testing workflows efficiently.
