About the role
An exciting opportunity has come up within our Quality Control Department. The position will be working with precious metal castings to make sure they are thoroughly checked to a high standard before sending out to our customers. The role will require a variety of skills, to see the castings through from start to finish. Laser welding and bench skills will be needed through this process. There is an element of administrative work, when booking orders out at the final stage. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a keen eye for detail, capable of working under pressure, and good at problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Cutting/ sawing castings
- Matching castings to orders
- Laser welding and repairing castings
- Quality control of castings
- Problem solving and investigating technical problems
- Working with a variety of precious metals
- Administration duties- booking out orders and weighing metal
Requirements
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Bench Skills
- Laser welding experience (this training can be given if not already experienced)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge of the industry would be a benefit
