We are an independent family-run retail and manufacturing jewellers based in Crawley, West Sussex. We recently moved from our home of nearly 25 years to a new, larger premises with a state-of-the-art workshop boasting seven benches. We are a close knit team, and we foster a relaxing environment whilst recognising and maintaining a strong work ethic throughout everything we do.
James Stephens Jewellers specialises in jewellery repair and restoration as well as offering our customers an array of exceptional stock and options for every budget. We pride ourselves on being able to offer exemplary customer service alongside the highest calibre of work and have consequently built up a loyal customer base in the area. We also undertake trade work and proudly serve 16 other jewellery businesses as well as our own at the time of writing.
We are looking for a Jobbing Goldsmith to expand our workshop team!
Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 3 years professional experience working with fine jewellery. They will be enthusiastic, adaptable and willing to use their expertise to help the company grow and they will recognise that working as part of a team is paramount to our joint success.
Our reputation demands that nothing less than the highest standard of work will be acceptable and therefore our work is subject to stringent quality control checks. We need our new goldsmith to possess great attention to detail, efficiency and reliability.
The new recruit will be expected to carry out general repairs, re-sizings, retips and alterations on precious metal jewellery as well as remodelling work when required.
This position is full time, 9am to 5pm. Availability to work on Saturdays is essential – please do not apply if you are not able to work on Saturdays.
