### Hallmarking Technician#### Edinburgh Assay Office (EAO)#### Edinburgh, Scotland#### Full-Time | Permanent | Monday–Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm | Immediate StartWe are looking for a **careful, precise and practical person** to join our team as a Hallmarking Technician, applying hallmarks to precious metal jewellery by hand.This is a hands-on role where you will use **hallmarking punches, hammers and small hand tools** to accurately mark jewellery. The work requires patience, concentration and a very high level of manual dexterity, as you will be working with small, valuable items where accuracy and care are essential.**Previous jewellery experience is highly desirable**, and jobbing jewellers will have a particular advantage. However, previous hallmarking experience is not essential, as **full training will be provided in-house**.**What we're looking for*** Excellent manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination* Very good eyesight and the ability to work accurately with small items* Exceptional attention to detail* A careful and methodical approach to work* The ability to follow detailed processes and instructions consistently* Someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work* A patient and focused approach* Reliability and a good work ethic* Previous experience as a **jobbing jeweller** or in jewellery manufacturing would be a significant advantage**The role includes*** Applying hallmarks to precious metal jewellery using punches, hammers and specialist hand tools* Working accurately to established processes and quality standards* Managing a varied daily workload and working to schedules* Maintaining a clean and organised workstation* Taking care of jewellery and equipment at all times* Completing full in-house training in our hallmarking processes and equipment**What we offer*** Full time, permanent employment* Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm* Immediate start available* Living Wage Employer* Full training provided in-houseIf you have experience as a jeweller, particularly as a **jobbing jeweller**, and enjoy detailed, precision work, we would love to hear from you.**To apply**To apply, please send your CV and a brief covering note to us by using the application from below. #J-18808-Ljbffr
