EC One is an established and award-winning contemporary jewellery manufacturer and retailer based in the heart of Clerkenwell, London. As a certified B Corp, we are proud of our ethical approach to fine jewellery, focusing on sustainability, transparency, and hand-crafted design.

We are currently looking for an experienced CAD Designer to join our in-house team. This is a key role working across our bespoke commissions and our ready-to-wear collections.

The Role

You will be responsible for creating detailed CAD models for manufacture and supporting the design process from initial concept through to finished piece. Working closely with our goldsmiths, design, and sales teams, you will be a vital link in turning our creative vision into beautifully crafted jewellery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing accurate CAD models using Rhino or MatrixGold (or similar software)
  • Working with the bespoke team to create designs based on client briefs
  • Generating renders and 3D visuals for client presentations
  • Preparing technical drawings and files for 3D printing and casting
  • Liaising with workshop team to ensure designs are technically viable
  • Maintaining a high standard of design aesthetics and brand consistency
  • 2+ years of professional CAD design experience in the fine jewellery sector
  • Proficiency in Rhino, MatrixGold, or equivalent software
  • Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Knowledge of gemstones and setting styles
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Rendering/animation for client presentations
  • Hand sketching or concept drawing skills

We source our materials from ethical and sustainable sources, and our manufacturing processes are designed to minimise our environmental impact. As well as showcasing a variety of jewellery designers, we specialise in bespoke design and manufacture in house. The company was the first certified B Corp jeweller in the UK and as such, give 1% of our turnover to charity, care deeply about where our materials are sourced, and importantly we place great value our team. We pride ourselves on keeping making skills alive, have trained two Goldsmiths and currently have an apprentice indentured with the Goldsmiths’ Company.
