Overview
The Hours: Part Time, 8 hours per week
We are delighted to be supporting our growing property management client in their search for a Maintenance Technician at their beautiful offices in the heart of Sheffield city centre. This is a hands-on, varied and physically active role ideally suited to someone with strong technical know-how and a passion for high-quality service delivery.
Working closely with the on-site team and third-party contractors, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day checks, repairs, and general maintenance across both residential and communal areas of the development. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and organised individual who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out snagging and defects reporting across apartments and communal areas
- Managing maintenance requests and coordinating timely repairs
- Performing basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and decorating tasks
- Ensuring communal areas and the building exterior are always well-presented
- Managing on-site stock and tools for efficient service delivery
- Conducting regular H&S checks and supporting compliance efforts
- Liaising with residents and contractors to deliver a seamless service
- Assisting with apartment turnarounds including inspections and minor refurbishments
- Supporting event readiness and resident engagement as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential maintenance or hospitality environments
- Hands-on repair skills across trades such as joinery, painting, and decorating
- Knowledge of H&S practices, ideally IOSH certified
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
