Salary: Β£38,000.00 β Β£45,000.00 per annum (subject to previous experience)

We are an established Civil Engineering, Groundworks and Hard Landscaping Contractor that has evolved into a specialist external works Project Management company, delivering a wide and diverse range of external works along the M5/M4 corridor and throughout the South-West of England.
Brief Description of Job Role:
As our workload continues to expand, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor to support the successful delivery of a wide range of civil engineering, groundworks and external works projects across the South-West of England. Working closely with Contracts Managers, site operatives, subcontractors and clients, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest possible standard of quality.
The role will involve undertaking various manual site tasks, whilst overseeing and coordinating daily site activities, maintaining strong Health & Safety standards, managing the productivity of a small workforce and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, RAMS and project specifications. You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills, communicate effectively with all stakeholders and adopt a proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving and project delivery.
- Possess the Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificate. (Training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Possess an appropriate CSCS / CPCS card.
- A Valid Full UK Driving License
- First Aid at Work Certification (preferred)

Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure RAMS are adhered to on every project, promoting safe working practices.
- Enforce Site Rules and ensure the Site Induction Register is signed.
- Deliver site inductions to all visitors and new personnel when Contracts Managers are unavailable.
- Ensure site visitors sign the Site Visitors Register.
- Undertake Daily Site Safety Inspections and complete relevant forms.
- Ensure Work Equipment Inspections are completed as required.
- Complete Point of Work Risk Assessments when necessary.
- Complete weekly temporary fence inspections and record observations.
- Monitor and report on subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with RAMS and quality standards.
- Report Near Misses, Non-Conformities and Accidents using company systems.
- Deliver Daily Briefings to the workforce at the start of each shift.
- Ensure Permits to Work and Statements of Known Hazards are valid and available.
Project Delivery
- Deliver projects to programme set by the Contracts Manager.
- Organise daily and weekly work plans in coordination with the Contracts Manager.
- Manage work quality and minimise snagging.
- Monitor and assist in managing environmental issues including pollution, dust, noise and spillages.
- Forward waste information to the Contracts Manager.
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the workforce, clients and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with Contracts Managers, site staff and office staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Pass relevant information including delivery tickets and reports to the Contracts Manager or Head Office.
Administrative Duties
- Complete and submit timesheets for daywork.
- Ensure all operatives complete and return HAV records.
- Organise Purchase Orders and relay all necessary information to the Contracts Manager and Head Office.
- Use the company electronic tablet to submit information to Head Office.
Professional Conduct
- Always represent the company professionally and positively.
- Take responsibility for effective time management of yourself and others you are responsible for.
Training Requirement & Skillset
- Must possess the Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificate.
- Must possess an appropriate CSCS/CPCS card.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
- Possess a strong desire to deliver high quality work and take pride in completed work.
- Have multiple on-site skillsets, including but not limited to laying kerbs, block paving, slabs, drainage & ducting furniture, asphalt surfacing and reinforced concrete.
