Mechanic / Vehicle Technician – £40,000 + Bonus

Full-time, Permanent | Retford / Bilsthorpe / Worksop area

We\’re Benchmark Group, and we\’re looking for an experienced Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our team. If you take pride in doing things properly and want to work for a business that values skill and reliability over shortcuts, you\’ll fit right in.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, solving problems, and keeping vehicles in top condition.

What you\’ll do:

  • Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles

  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brakes, tyres, and MOT prep

  • Diagnose and fix faults using diagnostic equipment and your own experience

  • Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components where needed

  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and well-organised

  • Maintain accurate service records and reports

What we\’re looking for:

  • Solid experience as a Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, or Garage Mechanic

  • Confident with diagnostics, fault finding, and repair work

  • Strong understanding of engines, brakes, electrics, and general mechanics

  • Good communication and time management skills

  • Reliable, with a strong attention to detail

  • Full UK driving licence preferred
