Welcome to Benchmark Drinks – one of the UK’s fastest‑growing wine and drinks companies. We’re in an exciting phase of growth and looking for a Finance Assistant to join our brilliant team and help keep our financial operations running smoothly.

This is a hands‑on, varied role where you’ll be a key part of the Finance team, supporting day‑to‑day financial processes and ensuring everything runs like clockwork. You’ll work closely with our Senior Finance Assistant and wider team to maintain accurate financial records, support month‑end processes, and keep both our suppliers and customers happy.

You’ll be doing things like:

  • Managing and maintaining the finance inbox
  • Responding to general queries
  • Filing invoices, remittances, and statements in the right folders for action
  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Sending sales invoices via email and customer portals
  • Credit control for designated accounts, including monthly statements and chasing overdue amounts
  • Checking remittances and requesting missing debit notes
  • Liaising with internal teams for deduction approvals
  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Processing purchase invoices for approval
  • Processing staff expenses and company credit cards
  • Assisting with the weekly supplier pay run and sending remittances
  • Obtaining supplier statements and chasing missing invoices
  • Coordinating with Operations on stock‑related transactions
  • Supporting with bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with general ledger account reconciliations

Must‑Haves:

  • Experience working in a finance team
  • Familiarity with accounting systems
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
