We're looking for a commercially minded Technology Business Manager to become a key member of our Technology leadership team.
This role combines financial management, supplier governance, technology operations and business partnering, helping ensure technology investments are well governed, cost-effective and aligned to strategic priorities.
You'll work closely with Technology, Finance, Procurement, Risk and senior business stakeholders, providing insight that supports investment decisions, strengthens supplier relationships and improves the value delivered by our technology estate.

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Technology Investment
- Lead technology budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Provide transparency across technology operating and capital expenditure.
- Analyse technology spend, identifying opportunities to improve value and optimise costs.
- Support business cases, investment proposals and technology funding decisions.
- Deliver meaningful financial reporting and management information to senior stakeholders.
- Help technology leaders make informed decisions around priorities, investments and resource allocation.
- Technology Commercial Management
- Manage governance of key technology suppliers and commercial relationships.
- Oversee contract renewals, spend management and commercial performance.
- Support negotiations alongside Procurement and business stakeholders.
- Track supplier value, service performance and contractual commitments.
- Improve commercial controls and reporting across the technology estate.
- Business Planning & Performance
- Support the development of technology business plans and strategic roadmaps.
- Design and produce dashboards, reports and performance metrics.
- Measure the effectiveness and value of technology services and investments.
- Track delivery against plans and identify areas of risk or improvement.
- Present insights and recommendations to technology and business leaders.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted partner to Technology leadership.
- Build strong relationships across Technology, Finance, Procurement, Risk and Operations.
- Translate financial, operational and technical information into clear business insight.
- Facilitate discussions around investment priorities, service performance and strategic decision making.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
- Technology Governance
- Support governance forums, audits and control activities.
- Help strengthen technology financial management and reporting practices.
- Maintain oversight of technology spend, supplier governance and investment tracking.
- Contribute to the ongoing maturity of Benchmark's technology operating model.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience in a Technology Business Management, Technology Finance, IT Commercial Management, Vendor Management or Technology Operations role.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Experience building business cases and supporting investment decisions.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing suppliers and contracts.
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate it into meaningful business recommendations.
- Experience producing management information, dashboards and executive reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Desirable
- Experience within financial services or another regulated industry.
- Exposure to Technology Business Management (TBM) principles and frameworks.
- Experience working with procurement, software licensing or vendor governance.
- Knowledge of service costing, technology portfolio management or Fin Ops practices.
- Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ITIL, TBM Foundation or similar.
