We’re looking for a Senior Information Security Consultant to join our team, providing expert guidance across projects, systems, and business units. This key role works closely with senior stakeholders to shape security strategy and deliver practical, business-aligned solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Lead information security assurance across projects, programmes, and business areas
  • Provide clear, practical security guidance to both business and technology teams
  • Design and implement security improvements across applications and infrastructure
  • Support the development and ongoing improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
  • Monitor emerging threats and recommend appropriate mitigations
  • Contribute to broader security transformation initiatives
  • Mentor team members and support capability development

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need:

  • Proven experience in a senior information security or consultancy role
  • Strong understanding of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls
  • Track record of delivering security strategy and measurable improvements
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex topics clearly
  • Experience leading or shaping complex security initiatives

Desirable:

  • Experience within financial services or other regulated environments
  • Knowledge of cloud security (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Understanding of infrastructure and platform security
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC)

You’ll be based at the Benchmark Head Office, within our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex.
