We are hiring a part‑time Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team in Harrogate.
What you’ll do
- Management accounts and reporting
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts for adviser businesses
- Post accruals, prepayments, and journals, and complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month‑end close and meet reporting deadlines
- Adviser and stakeholder support
- Respond to adviser queries in a timely, professional manner
- Explain financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
- Support advisers in understanding their financial performance
- Process and administration
- Review and process departmental documentation, including dividend paperwork
- Support company secretarial activity where required
- Maintain accurate, well‑documented financial records
- Team support
- Guide and support junior team members
- Review work and share best practice
- Provide cover across the team during periods of leave
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Experience and knowledge
- Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), or equivalent experience
- Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month‑end processes
- Sound understanding of core accounting principles
