Description
As Supplier Oversight Manager, you will play a key role in managing and strengthening our supplier oversight framework, helping to ensure our third-party suppliers and outsourced service providers operate in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business expectations.
Working across the business, you'll oversee supplier onboarding, risk assessments, contract management, governance, reporting, and supplier performance. You'll provide valuable insight into supplier-related risks, support effective decision-making through robust management information, and help drive continuous improvement across our supplier management processes.

What you'll do
- Manage the onboarding of new suppliers and third-party arrangements, ensuring appropriate due diligence and risk assessments are completed.
- Oversee supplier criticality assessments and periodic reviews to maintain compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Identify, assess and monitor supplier-related risks, ensuring material issues are escalated appropriately.
- Maintain effective supplier oversight processes across the supplier lifecycle.
- Support the ongoing development of Benchmark's third-party risk management framework.
- Maintain a comprehensive register of supplier contracts and third-party services.
- Ensure supplier records, contracts and supporting documentation are accurately maintained and readily accessible.
- Monitor supplier ownership, accountability and governance arrangements.
- Partner with business owners and service managers to support effective supplier performance management.
- Assist with supplier rationalisation and consolidation initiatives where appropriate.
- Produce management information, dashboards and reporting for senior leadership and governance committees.
- Track supplier performance, incidents, risks and emerging trends.
- Support governance forums with accurate and insightful reporting.
- Coordinate responses to supplier incidents, issues and escalations.
- Oversee supplier spend reporting through the Accounts Payable process.
- Support accurate invoice approval and authorisation in line with delegated authorities.
- Assist with the implementation and enhancement of ERP systems and supplier reporting capabilities.
- Develop meaningful KPI reporting on supplier spend and supplier management activities.
- Support acquisitions and the integration of supplier arrangements into Benchmark processes.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Risk and Operational teams.
- Support group-wide supplier and procurement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders on supplier governance requirements.
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation and with key suppliers.
- Promote a culture of accountability, risk awareness and strong supplier governance.
- Stay current with regulatory developments, outsourcing requirements and industry best practice.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier oversight processes, controls and reporting.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Experience in supplier oversight, supplier management, procurement, operational risk, vendor management or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of supplier onboarding, due diligence and ongoing monitoring processes.
- Experience maintaining supplier records, contracts and governance documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience producing management information, reporting and dashboard analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems.
- Experience within financial services or a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of outsourcing regulations and third-party risk management frameworks.
- Experience using ERP, procurement or supplier management systems.
- Understanding of Accounts Payable and supplier spend management processes.
