Bench IT are seeking a Project Manager with retail sector experience to spearhead design and build projects from concept to completion. The successful candidate will oversee integrated project delivery, coordinating design development with construction execution while ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budget parameters. This role will be supported by Heads of Commercial and Delivery departments and may involve providing assistance across multiple projects as needed.
Key Experience & Responsibilities:
- Proven experience working as Project Manager to deliver Retail Fit Out projects.
- Oversee all aspects of design-build project delivery, serving as the primary client interface and internal coordination hub.
- Manage design consultants and construction teams through a unified workflow, developing and maintaining integrated project schedules that align design milestones with construction activities.
- Ensure seamless communication between all stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Financial management, including development and monitoring of comprehensive project budgets, tracking costs against design and construction phases, managing change orders and variations.
- Implement quality control procedures across both design and construction phases, ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and design reviews, managing the commissioning and handover process to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Certification such as RICS, CIOB, or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and design processes is essential.
- Proven experience with project management software and building information modeling (BIM) systems.
- Proficiency in risk management, contract administration, programming, and commercial negotiations.
- Produce Construction Programmes using proprietary software (ASTA, MS Project).
