Job Description
Network Engineer (Cisco) NPPV3, £300 per day inside IR35
3 months initially, Sheffield/Hull
*MUST HOLD A CURRENT NPPV3 clearance that was issued through Warwickshire central processing.*
Bench IT require an experienced Network Engineer, proficient in the support of Cisco technology and exposure to telephony systems. The engineer will join a team supporting the head-offices of both Sheffield and Hull (occasionally)
The role will be based principally at Sheffield, but with occasional support for a similar environment in Hull.
To excel in the role, the engineer will demonstrate:
- Previous experience and a solid understanding of Cisco networking products and technologies
- Strong understanding of network security principles and change control processes
- Coordinate with telephony and network service providers to support the provisioning and troubleshooting of networking elements such as leased lines, circuits, and external connectivity.
- Proven capability in network engineering, including Firewall and routing/switching configuration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability under pressure
- Clear communicator, able to explain technical detail to non-technical stakeholders
- Methodical and thorough with documentation and change control
- Comfortable working across multiple projects and competing priorities
- Cisco certifications desirable
