Bench IT requires an experienced Sales and Accounts Coordinator to support a number of Account Directors providing IT Infrastructure services to a number of clients. The role provides pivotal commercial, administrative and coordination support to the Sales team, acting as a key liaison between customers, the sales team, operational delivery teams and internal departments, to ensure that customer requests, quotations and sales orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and that procedures are maintained. The role is critical in maintaining high service levels, supporting account growth and enabling the Sales Team to focus on client relationships and new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Account and customer support: act as the primary support contact for allocated customers, handle inbound customer enquiries, support ongoing client relationships and maintain accurate customer records, contacts and opportunities within the CRM system.
- Quoting and commercial administration: by working closely with Design and Estimation teams to organise customer quotations, issue customer quotations, obtain supplier pricing, lead times and technical information, track quote approvals and revisions. Assist with margin checks, pricing accuracy and internal approvals.
- Order and delivery coordination: process sales orders in line with agreed commercial terms, coordinate with operations, project teams and logistics, track order progress, materials availability and delivery schedules, and proactively communicate updates, changes and issues.
- Internal department coordination: acting as a central point of contact between Sales, Operations, Finance and Procurement, to support internal reporting, pipeline updates and account reviews, and ensure all quotes, orders, contracts and variations are correctly stored and maintained.
- Reporting and administration: assist with sales pipeline management, forecasting and reporting, maintain accurate records for audits, customer governance and internal reviews, and support invoicing queries by liaising with Finance to resolve discrepancies.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in a sales/account support or commercial administration role.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- A professional, customer-focused approach.
- Any previous experience working within an IT Infrastructure organisation would be advantageous, as would an understanding of IT networking, data centers and enterprise-wide IT solutions.
