Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site BDM Security Contracts role based in Hayes. The Business Development Manager will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new security contracts while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and site visits, and preparing tailored proposals and tenders for security services. The role involves negotiating contract terms, pricing, and service levels, in close collaboration with operations and finance teams to ensure deliverability and profitability. The BDM will monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements within the security sector, updating internal stakeholders and adapting strategies accordingly. The position also requires accurate reporting of sales pipeline, preparing forecasts, and contributing to the continuous improvement of sales processes and client experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the security services or facilities management sector.
  • Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, and relationship-building with corporate and commercial clients.
  • Ability to prepare, present, and negotiate security service proposals, tenders, and contracts with confidence and clarity.
  • Solid commercial awareness, including understanding of margins, pricing structures, and contract risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of security industry standards, regulations, and best practices is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hayes full time, including occasional travel to client sites and meetings as required.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and collaborative, with a focus on ethical, consultative selling and long-term client partnerships.
  • Relevant education or professional training in business, sales, security management, or a related field is an advantage.
