This is a full-time, on-site BDM Security Contracts role based in Hayes. The Business Development Manager will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new security contracts while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and qualifying leads
- Conducting client meetings and site visits
- Preparing tailored proposals and tenders for security services
- Negotiating contract terms, pricing, and service levels
- Collaborating with operations and finance teams to ensure deliverability and profitability
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements within the security sector
- Updating internal stakeholders and adapting strategies accordingly
- Accurate reporting of sales pipeline and preparing forecasts
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of sales processes and client experience
Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the security services or facilities management sector is required. Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, and relationship-building with corporate and commercial clients are essential. The candidate should have the ability to prepare, present, and negotiate security service proposals, tenders, and contracts with confidence and clarity. Solid commercial awareness, including understanding of margins, pricing structures, and contract risk management is necessary. Comfort with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected. Knowledge of security industry standards, regulations, and best practices is highly beneficial. The ability to work on-site in Hayes full time, including occasional travel to client sites and meetings as required, is important.
