As our Bid Manager, you will own how Ben wins enterprise deals through tenders and RFPs. The enterprise space drives Ben’s growth and tenders are the primary vehicle for that expansion. Currently, Account Executives and Solutions teams are stretched across bid work and new business; you will take ownership of the bid process so they can focus on closing new business. You will write and shape responses, orchestrate inputs from Legal, Product, Security, and Commercial teams, and ensure Ben presents the right story, at the right depth, every time. Reporting to the COO, you will influence how we work across every major enterprise deal.
Responsibilities
- Owning our bid process end‑to‑end: from the moment an RFP lands to the moment it is submitted, including intake, content production, review cycles, submission, and post‑submission follow‑up.
- Proposal writing and editorial oversight: you will determine the depth buyers need, craft the narrative at each stage, and understand what procurement teams actually read versus skip.
- Bid qualification and prioritisation: assess which tenders justify investment, allocate limited capacity, and determine when to walk away.
- Turning win‑loss data into better bids: analyze scoring feedback, patterns across tenders, and feed insights back into the process to continually improve Bid quality.
- Commercial and pricing review: pull the right numbers together, flag unusual commercial terms, and confirm the bid is commercially sound before shipment.
- Sales enablement: collaborate with the commercial team to provide clear briefs, tight deadlines, and templates that illustrate what good input looks like.
Qualifications
- Experience running RFP and tender processes in B2B SaaS or enterprise software, having seen the full cycle and understood the operating rhythm.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent bids under pressure in a lean team across global bid processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise procurement: compliance requirements, evaluation criteria, panel processes, etc.
- Built or significantly developed a bid function before; this is a new function at Ben and you will help build it.
- Think with an AI‑native mindset: already using AI to automate workflow and considering how the role evolves with AI.
- Strong design sensitivity and taste, knowing what visual elements will stand out to prospective clients.
- Excellent writing skills: translate complex products into clear, persuasive responses that resonate with procurement teams and C‑suite evaluators.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary plus equity.
- Bonus scheme designed to reward and recognise high performance.
- £100 monthly personal Ben Balance for personal use (Netflix, Spotify, etc.); allowance increases by £50 each year until £250.
- Weekly lunch provided in office.
- 28 days of holidays a year plus bank holidays, option to buy or sell 5 days per year; entitlement increases to 30 days at the 3rd year of service.
