Our Mission
We’re not your average benefits platform – we’re the driving force that uplifts people’s lives. Our technology connects the entire benefits ecosystem, creating better outcomes for employers, employees, brokers, and providers. Our mission is clear: to build a world where everything works at its best, ensuring every employee gets the support they need to thrive—both at work and beyond.
Your Mission
As a BDR at Ben, you’ll play a pivotal role in a high-impact, fast-moving team that sits at the forefront of our commercial engine. You’ll help drive top-of-funnel activity, engaging with prospective customers, sparking curiosity, and setting up meetings for our Account Executives. This role is ideal for someone looking to break into tech sales, and who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Responsibilities
- Research the market: utilise prospecting and research tools to identify, target and qualify relevant prospective clients within Ben's ideal customer profile.
- Engage new customers: execute outbound prospecting campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn and other channels) to generate leads in our target markets and iterate on outreach strategies as needed.
- Develop new customers: understand customer needs to gather key prospect information, generate interest and bring high-quality prospects into the sales pipeline, booking meetings and demos for the wider team.
- Deliver results: pursue both individual and team goals and work towards monthly targets and KPIs.
What We’re Looking For
- 0-2 years of sales or customer-facing experience (SaaS/start-up experience a plus).
- Strong organisation skills - you’ll be owning and managing your sales pipeline and KPIs, so it’s crucial you can prioritise your work and manage your time effectively.
- Highly target-motivated - you’ll have a strong drive to succeed and hit your weekly and monthly KPIs. You’ll be a self-starter who thrives on autonomy, enjoys a rapid pace and wants to make a difference.
- Passion for sales - you’ll genuinely care about helping people find the right solution, and you’ll have a proactive approach to expanding your knowledge of our product offering and our market.
- An entrepreneurial mindset - you’re a self-starter who thrives on autonomy, and are excited by ambiguity and problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written English is essential - you’ll be communicating with our potential customers on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of our systems would be a bonus - e.g Hubspot, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, but not a deal breaker!
You will not love this role if
- Aren’t comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- Are not ready to own your own results and be held accountable.
- Like maintaining the status-quo and aren’t willing to think outside the box.
- Like a lot of structure and processes, we are a start-up and are still working things out and we don’t always know what’s next.
- Are not comfortable with ambiguity, we will give you guidance but sometimes you have to work things out.
- Wait for others to step up, or to be told what to do. We are a high-performance and high-reward workplace and are looking for people who are proactive.
Our Compensation & Benefits
It’s important to us to practise what we preach when it comes to our benefits. We know what good looks like and we want to provide the best for our team, with a comprehensive and inclusive benefits package. This means you have a choice over the things that are most important to you.
- £35-40K base salary (OTE uncapped) + equity, so you own what you build.
- Bonus scheme designed to reward and recognise high performance.
- £100 monthly personal Ben Balance: for whatever works for you, whether that’s Netflix, Spotify, or a really expensive cup of coffee! This allowance will increase by £50 for each year of service until you reach £250.
- Weekly lunch provided in office so you can spend quality time with the team over some tasty food.
- 28 days of holidays a year plus bank holidays - entitlement increases to 30 days at your 3rd year of service.
- Work-from-abroad scheme to support travels, extended holidays, or visits to loved ones.
- Enhanced parental leave and workplace nursery scheme to support with the cost of childcare.
- Comprehensive Private Medical Insurance.
- Funded Life Assurance cover with optional voluntary increase, including an annual health check.
- Comprehensive mental health support and professional coaching through a leading provider.
