Senior Web Analytics Specialist – London (hybrid working) – £70K + Benefits

The Senior Web Analytics Specialist is a strategic and business-facing role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic thinking. Reporting to the Manager of Analytics Platforms and Reporting, this role will play a pivotal part in defining and implementing our web analytics and data strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy and Collaboration
  2. Analytics Implementation and Optimization
  3. Governance & Monitoring
  4. Continuous Improvement and Documentation

Experience Required:

  1. At least 5 years of proven experience leading and delivering successful web analytics, tag management, and site optimization platform deployments at an enterprise level.
  2. Hands-on experience with Piwik Pro, Matomo, and Google Analytics.
  3. Familiarity with developer tagging practices, including deposit tracking, custom events, and advanced tracking requirements.
  4. Experience implementing and maintaining tag manager/container solutions (eg, Google Tag Manager).
  5. Knowledge of user management, auditing, and monitoring solutions for web analytics and tag management platforms.
  6. Experience collaborating with Data Warehouse teams and understanding data integration requirements.
  7. Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and setting up webhooks/integrations for data sharing and enrichment.
  8. Experience in architecting and reviewing data integration between CDP platforms and Web Analytics platforms.
  9. Demonstrated examples of using data to drive, improve, and influence onsite user behaviour and experience.
  10. Experience with personalization and targeted content.
  11. Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and online marketing strategies.
  12. Familiarity with web development languages (HTML, JavaScript).
