We are seeking an experienced fostering and kinship social worker to join our dynamic team dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in need. Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of children and families involved in fostering and kinship arrangements.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and home studies for potential foster and kinship placements.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and supervision to foster and kinship caregivers.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for foster and kinship families.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of children in placements, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Liaise with schools, health services, and other community resources to support the needs of children and families.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Social Work or a related field, and a valid social work license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fostering and kinship social work or child welfare.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in child welfare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and work independently.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating training for foster and kinship families.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
