We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker/Health Care Assistant to join our Neuro Rehabilitation team. Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support patients in following individualized rehabilitation plans designed by the therapy team.
• Monitor and report any changes in patients’ physical or emotional health to nursing staff.
• Encourage and assist patients to participate in therapeutic activities and exercises.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients to enhance their rehabilitation experience.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control and health and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant or Support Worker, preferably in neuro rehabilitation or related healthcare setting.
• Basic understanding of neurorehabilitation principles and patient care needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with individuals facing neurological challenges.
• Physical fitness to assist with mobility and physical support as required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed.
• Relevant certifications or training in healthcare support, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, are preferred.
