We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PSW Safeguarding Head of Service to lead and oversee safeguarding initiatives within our organization. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the safeguarding team and services.
- Develop, implement, and review safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Lead investigations into safeguarding concerns, ensuring thorough and timely responses.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to promote best practices in safeguarding.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions to enhance staff understanding of safeguarding issues.
- Monitor and report on safeguarding activities, outcomes, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Support and mentor safeguarding staff, fostering professional development and high standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a safeguarding role within health or social care sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding legislation, frameworks, and best practices.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities in complex safeguarding scenarios.
