The Interim Director will be responsible for shaping and implementing strategies that enhance the quality, safety, and sustainability of our housing stock while optimizing the use of resources and investment funds. Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Housing Standards, Assets & Investment team ensuring the delivery of high-quality housing services and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for housing asset management and investment to optimize resource use and improve housing stock sustainability.
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance programs to ensure properties meet safety and quality standards.
- Manage budgets and financial planning related to housing assets and investment projects.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders including contractors, government bodies, and community organizations to facilitate project delivery.
- Monitor and report on the performance of housing standards and investment initiatives to senior management and relevant authorities.
- Provide interim leadership and support during periods of organizational change and transition to maintain service continuity and team cohesion.
- Extensive experience in housing management, asset management, or a related field with a demonstrated leadership track record.
- Strong knowledge of housing standards, legislation, and best practices within the housing sector.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage complex investment projects.
