We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor (PO5) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting a culture of health and safety within our organization. Your expertise will contribute significantly to ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while developing and implementing effective safety programs. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, providing training to staff, and advising on safety practices that help mitigate risks in the workplace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and be adept at identifying potential hazards. You will also be tasked with monitoring compliance and creating a safe, healthy work environment for all employees. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures across the organization.
- Provide guidance on health and safety matters to management and staff.
- Organize and facilitate health and safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of health and safety documentation and reports.
- Stay up-to-date with legislation and best practices in health and safety management.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree or qualification in health and safety or a related field.
- Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety policies accordingly.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for thorough investigations.
