We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate CSW - Social Worker - SEND to join our team, focusing on providing exceptional support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, educational institutions, and various agencies to ensure that the needs of our SEND population are not only met but exceeded. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with SEND to identify needs and tailor support accordingly.

  • Provide guidance and support to families to navigate the SEND process and access appropriate resources and services.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of children and young people with SEND within educational settings and the wider community.
  • Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to create a seamless support network for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local and national legislation regarding SEND.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to SEND and social work practice.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and best practices concerning SEND provisions.
  • Ability to develop personalized support plans based on individual assessments and family needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients, families, and educational staff.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and administrative tasks, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and manage a varied caseload effectively.
