Youth Justice Service Case Worker
The Youth Justice Service Case Worker plays a critical role in the rehabilitation and support of young individuals who have had encounters with the justice system. This position is ideal for passionate professionals who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of youth. As a Case Worker, you will engage directly with young people, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure that each individual receives tailored support in accordance with their unique needs. Your work will involve assessing risk factors, creating comprehensive action plans, and facilitating access to resources and interventions that promote personal growth and development. You will also collaborate with law enforcement, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a supportive network that encourages positive behavior and reduces recidivism. This role requires a combination of compassion, resilience, and problem‑solving skills, as you will need to navigate complex situations involving vulnerable individuals. Responsibilities
- Engage and build trusting relationships with young people and their families.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs, risks, and strengths of the youth under supervision.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised action plans in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide direct support and guidance to young individuals in navigating educational, social, and health services.
- Monitor compliance with court orders and regulations while promoting positive behavior changes.
- Facilitate workshops and programs aimed at personal development and skill-building.
- Collaborate with external agencies, including law enforcement, schools, and community organizations, to ensure a comprehensive support network.
Requirements
- Bachelor\’s degree in social work, psychology, criminology, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth in a justice or community service setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with young people and their families.
- Ability to assess risk and develop intervention plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of youth justice principles, relevant legislation, and community resources.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.
- Commitment to promoting social justice, equity, and the well‑being of young people.
Hours Per Week: 36.50
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £27.22
