We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Social Worker to join our team as an ASW (Approved Social Worker) at WCR 3 level. Key Objectives
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments under the Mental Health Act.

Responsibilities
- Carry out statutory assessments and make informed recommendations under the Mental Health Act.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in partnership with service users and carers.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and professional supervision.
- Promote social inclusion and recovery‑focused approaches in all aspects of work.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to team learning.
Requirements
- Qualified and registered Social Worker with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Approved Social Worker (ASW) status or willingness to undertake ASW training.
- Proven experience in adult mental health social work, preferably within statutory services.
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and related legislation.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and work independently.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
