Accommodation Officer – Housing
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accommodation Officer for our housing division to provide essential support in managing housing accommodations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all housing services meet the needs of our residents and comply with established regulations. As an Accommodation Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the allocation and maintenance of housing units, facilitating tenant interactions, and ensuring a high standard of living for all occupants. Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating with various stakeholders, including tenants, landlords, and service providers, to address housing concerns and resolve issues promptly. Responsibilities
- Manage the allocation of housing units to residents based on eligibility and needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents regarding accommodation issues and inquiries.
- Conduct regular inspections of housing properties to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Facilitate the resolution of tenant disputes and complaints in a fair and effective manner.
- Coordinate with external agencies and service providers for additional resident support services.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of resident applications, contracts, and housing conditions.
- Prepare reports on occupancy rates, housing trends, and resident satisfaction for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor\’s degree in social work, urban planning, housing management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in housing administration, property management, or customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of housing regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using office software and data management systems for reporting and analysis.
