We're looking for Groundscare Service Technicians who are enthusiastic about joining our team and collaborating with the prestigious John Deere Brand, along with many other brands. Whether you're an experienced Groundscare Engineer or someone looking to break into the industry, we'd love to hear from you!

As a Service Technician at Ben Burgess, you'll face the exciting challenge of working with cutting-edge machinery, providing top-notch support to our customers, and playing a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service. You'll work closely with our Service Managers, dividing your time between our state-of-the-art workshops and the great outdoors, where you'll maintain, repair, and service a diverse range of machinery, including tractors, combines, and other implements.

Your responsibilities as a Groundscare Service Technician will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing groundscare equipment;
  • Performing regular servicing on machinery;
  • Continuously developing your skills and knowledge through training on new products and services;
  • Upholding the highest quality standards in both workshop and field settings;
  • Mentoring apprentices and trainees;
  • Preparing new and used equipment for delivery.

We value candidates who possess:

  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems;
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service;
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a drive to embrace new challenges;
  • Experience in a franchised dealer environment is preferred, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided;
  • Proficiency in maintaining and repairing machinery using special tools and following approved technical procedures;
  • Flexibility to adjust working hours during peak seasons and weekends;
  • A valid UK driving licence.
