This exciting opportunity provides hands-on experience in groundscare machinery maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. As a Groundscare Technician Apprentice at Ben Burgess, you will work closely with experienced technicians, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in the field of groundscare technology. The apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills and expertise necessary to become a proficient groundscare machinery technician, particularly specialising in John Deere equipment.
The Groundscare Technician Apprenticeship provides a structured and immersive learning experience, preparing you for a rewarding career in groundscare machinery technology.
What you will learn: With the emphasis firmly on groundscare machinery, you will develop skills and proficiency in a wide range of technical areas, from routine maintenance and servicing through to complex component overhauls utilising the very latest John Deere diagnostic equipment.
How you will learn: You will work at your chosen dealership with us, but also spend time at the John Deere Apprentice Training Centre near Nottingham. You are supported by a designated Learning Advisor and by your manager and mentor, gaining valuable workplace skills by undertaking practical tasks and experiencing real-life challenges. You will be provided with an individually tailored learning plan, with progress monitored by your Learning Advisor who will make regular visits to you for on-the-job review and guidance.

- Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (including Maths, English, and Science)
- Ability to commute to one of our depots Monday – Friday
- Enthusiasm for groundscare machinery and engineering
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
