Role Overview

Belvoir Castle is seeking a highly motivated Social Media Manager to support the effective delivery of the estate's marketing strategy.

This role is particularly well-suited to recent graduates, ideally with a degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline, who are looking to begin or develop their career within a dynamic and prestigious heritage environment.

The position will focus primarily on social media management and content creation, while also providing essential support across a range of wider marketing and administrative tasks.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, creativity, and an organised, proactive approach to workload management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management (Primary Focus)
  • Assist in the planning, creation, and scheduling of content across Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and X
  • Produce high-quality photography and video content aligned with the Belvoir Castle brand
  • Write captions and written content that reflect the estate's tone of voice and enhance engagement
  • Monitor social channels, respond to comments and enquiries, and support community engagement
  • Track performance metrics, report on growth and engagement, and suggest improvements
  • Stay informed of digital trends and propose new ideas to enhance our online presence
  • Marketing and Administrative Support
  • Assist in the development and distribution of email marketing campaigns and newsletters
  • Provide administrative support including filing, scheduling and maintaining contact lists
  • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and external partners to support campaigns and events
  • Assist with press and media enquiries where required
  • Support marketing activity for seasonal events and key visitor initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • A degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms and current digital practices
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and engaging content
  • Good visual awareness, with confidence in photography and video capture
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience using content creation tools such as Canva and Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, Tik Tok Analytics, and Google Analytics
  • Previous experience within marketing, social media, tourism, hospitality, or heritage
