We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Female Complex Care Assistant to support a lady living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in her own home in Egremont. This is a rewarding one-to-one role where you'll build a meaningful relationship, promote independence, and provide personalised care that enables her to remain comfortable and safe at home.

Please note: This role is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the specific needs of the individual being supported.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 months' care experience within a UK care setting or supporting a family member
  • A caring, patient and compassionate nature
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Previous complex care experience is welcome but not essential. Full clinical training and ongoing support will be provided by our experienced Registered Nurse team.

About the Role

You will support a lady who is living with Motor Neurone Disease and requires assistance with daily living activities, personal care and clinical support within her home. Responsibilities include:

  • Personal care and daily living support
  • Medication administration
  • Moving and handling using specialist equipment
  • Supporting communication needs
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing
  • Tracheostomy care

The client is no longer able to communicate verbally, so we're looking for someone who is patient, attentive and able to build trust through alternative methods of communication. You will receive comprehensive training, competency sign-off and ongoing support from our in-house clinical team, ensuring you feel confident and fully supported in your role.
