Join Alcedo Care as a Residential Children’s Support Worker working within our Newton Le Willows & St Helens child‑resident homes. We are expanding our Children’s Residential Services and looking for passionate workers to join our homes in Warrington and St Helens.

The Role
As a Residential Children’s Support Worker you will create a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, independence and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Provide emotional support and promote positive behaviours.
- Support education, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Encourage independence and life‑skills development.
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive home environment.
- Complete daily records and reports.
- Support household tasks including meal preparation and daily routines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within an Ofsted residential children’s home or similar care setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
- Passion for supporting children and young people.
- Ability to remain calm, resilient and supportive in challenging situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Shift Pattern
This role involves 24‑hour shift patterns including sleep‑ins.
