About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Complex Mental Health Care Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a female client within her own home and local community. This is a highly rewarding role supporting an individual with complex mental health needs, sensory differences and visual impairment. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping the client maintain independence, manage daily routines and access activities and interests that are important to them. The client values consistency, trust and routine, so we are looking for carers who can build positive professional relationships and provide calm, person‑centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing emotional support and reassurance in a calm, compassionate manner
- Supporting with daily living activities and maintaining established routines
- Assisting the client to access the community and participate in social and recreational activities
- Supporting with medication administration where required
- Promoting independence, wellbeing and personal choice
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Providing support during periods of distress, anxiety or sensory overwhelm
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the wider care team
- Working collaboratively with family members and other professionals involved in the client's care
What We're Looking For

- Previous experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
