Location: Heysham, Morecambe, Lancaster and surrounding areas.

Excellent rates of pay £18.00 - £18.50 per hour + Pension + Holiday Pay (equivalent to £20.78 - £21.35 per hour including holiday pay & pension).

Role and Responsibilities: This is a rewarding 1:1 support role providing specialist care and support to an individual living with complex mental health needs. As a Complex Mental Health Care Assistant, you’ll build a consistent and meaningful relationship with the person you support, helping them to live safely, independently and comfortably within their own home and local community.

Requirements and Qualifications: To apply, you should have:

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Experience working within care, support work, mental health services or a related environment
  • Experience following care plans and risk management strategies
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • The ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations
  • Experience using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support approaches
