- General Purpose
Camp Counselors will be responsible for providing direct supervision of assigned children in all curriculum activities, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants of the summer camp program.
They will perform duties under the immediate supervision of the Summer Camp Director and Assistant Camp Directors.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the Summer Camp Curriculum as directed by the Summer Camp Director and/or Summer Camp Assistant Director.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to exhibit a positive approach in public contact and a calm nature in problem solving situations.
- Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Subject to working some early morning and evening hours.
- Ability to work with and supervise children in a variety of different settings.
