We are currently searching for a Retail Operations Manager to join the team. A rare opportunity has come up to join the team as our Retail Operations Manager. This is ideal if you have significant retail management experience and are keen to move to a head office role, or if you're an established retail operations coordinator or manager looking for your next step.
As our Retail Operations Manager, you will work with our Head of Retail in the daily management of our global stores. Partnering with Store Managers, head office functions and external suppliers, you'll optimise store operations and manage retail projects and costs to provide a vital contribution to business performance as well as our team and customer experience.
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:
- Partnering with the Head of Retail to develop and maintain tracking tools to manage budgets including future works
- Working closely with the Visual team to ensure cost efficiencies across the store network
- Managing ongoing repairs and maintenance of stores globally
- Sourcing and managing maintenance suppliers and utilities contracts
- Maintaining adequate levels of store consumables
- Managing uniform ordering and distribution
- Successfully and efficiently managing the implementation of all retail projects to deadline and budget, including post rollout reviews and measures of success evaluated
- Attending site meetings to manage and facilitate planning for all retail store requirements including FOH, BOH, office and staff facilities set up
- Overseeing the communication between all departments involved in retail projects
- Managing the implementation of new in-store systems, including creating SOPs e.g. POS and reporting processes
- Managing retail Health and Safety including risk assessments across new and existing stores, together with the Head of Retail and People team, to ensure Belstaff complies with local legislation, and according to internal expectations
- Reviewing store operating budget vs projections
- Monitoring and reporting on store costs including consumables and utilities
- Yearly reviews of suppliers to ensure cost efficiencies and performance vs expectations
- Managing operational compliance of handling inventory and cash including measuring success through efficiency and loss prevention metrics
- Instilling best practices in store teams throughout the handling of stock and cash, including delivering trainings and enforcing SOPs
- Scheduling and organising physical stocktakes followed by analysis of results in coordination with Stock Controller and Head of Retail
- Managing, mentoring and developing our Retail Operations Assistant
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant industry experience in Store Management or Retail Operations
- Proven ability to build, improve and embed robust processes that contribute towards successful achievement of company targets and SOPs
- Experience in project and contract management
- The ability to manage budgets and keep external partners on track to deliver best service and value for cost
- Confidence in managing contract evaluations and negotiations
- Confidence using the Microsoft 365 suite of programmes including Excel and the ability to navigate business systems and processes
- Experience of influencing multiple stakeholders and departments
- Ideally experience of managing a junior team member
