Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Platform Manager, the role is accountable for supporting the Koerber (for Warehouse Management), GAINS (Inventory Management System), and Oracle Transport Management System. Managing the Supply Chain Tech Support Analysts, in tasks, objectives and succession planning. These platforms are operating against a global template, initially this will be in European countries.

Responsible for minimising the risk associated with changes and ensuring that they are implemented and aligned to existing business process designs and that User Acceptance Testing has been completed. Responsible for understanding how both platforms enable the business processes and outcomes that the Belron business require to enable the supply chain to meet expected demand. Ensuring the value of processes are improved in a risk-free way and deliver real benefits to the business. Acting as a technical gatekeeper ensuring that changes do not adversely impact the use of either platform. Working in conjunction with the Supply Chain Design Authority for Koerber and Gains platform to assess the implications of the platforms roadmaps.

The role will be Accountable for:

  • Managing the Supply Chain System Administrators workload, skills and growth, in order to plan out succession.
  • Establishing standards for administering the platforms and governing them against expected outcomes.
  • Performing configuration and administrative changes within the scope of the role - Manage day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and platform performance monitoring.
  • Assessing all proposed changes to both platforms and ensuring that the changes follow the relevant change process.
  • A clear assessment of how the change may impact business processes and what the risk of the change is.
  • Providing technical expertise and input to the Design CoE when assessing changes.
  • Assessing changes and identifying standard changes candidates.
  • Attend Services CAB meetings as required to provide input on supply chain changes.
  • Impact assess all non-standard changes, providing feedback on regression as well as design quality.
  • Support release manager in assessing risks around changes to be applied to the production environment.
  • As a member of the Global Technology group must be able to effectively communicate with senior members of the Supplier organisation, the Belron Business community as well as the IT organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support the general Change and Release management processes through provision of expertise in the application and the Belron business processes.
  • Assess changes as required and provide feedback on change documents and to governance forums.
  • Engage with process owners to facilitate understanding of technical changes in terms that allow them to provide feedback and approval as required.
  • Using their expertise work with the change and release manager propose additions to the list of standard changes for both platforms.
  • To QA solutions prior to their delivery to production.
  • To interact with projects in order that they understand how the application is configured and managed in order that they can comply with the required ways of working and are able to deliver effectively avoiding risks.
  • Day-to-day administration and troubleshooting business and operational issues associated with the platforms, capturing appropriate data to escalation to the support partners.
  • Platform environment management.
  • Simple to moderate report changes in, such as modifying existing reports with additional search criteria or adding new search field elements and creating new report pages for single tables or multiple tables using simple joins.
  • After go-live act as the single point of contact at the top of the Issue Escalation / Resolution providing supporting data if issues are escalated to support partners.
  • Provide guidance on a limited basis to support partner when they are supporting or developing the platforms.
  • Platform data administration: including new users, menus, location, pick and put-away sequences, zone date.
  • SQL performance monitoring, index tuning and query changes.
  • Proactive performance monitoring of the platform.
  • Print engine configuration (Bartender).

Skills & Experiences Required

  • Experience: 6 Years+ IT Development and or Configuration experience with recent experience in a large international organisation.
  • Strategic: Experience in Warehouse Management Inventory Management Systems.
  • Strategic: Experience in Supply Chain operations from an IT perspective.
  • Ability to engage, build relationships with and influence senior leadership and key business stakeholders.
  • Possesses good communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels.
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions in a way that business users can understand.
  • An understanding of IT General Controls and how these apply across the IT landscape and the processes in use to support the back office applications.
  • Expert People management, task and succession.

  • Ability to speak and write in English Language is required.
