Belong is looking for an experienced and values-led Head of Operations to help shape, support and strengthen operational delivery across our villages and services. This is a senior leadership role with real influence. You will work closely with the Executive Team, General Managers and operational leaders to ensure our services are safe, commercially strong, well-led and focused on delivering outstanding experiences for customers, families and colleagues.

As Head of Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring that model is delivered consistently, sustainably and with the right balance of quality, compliance, commercial focus and people leadership.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of services, supporting General Managers and senior teams to deliver strong performance, high-quality care and positive outcomes.
- Lead and support operational performance across Belong villages and services.
- Work closely with General Managers to strengthen quality, compliance, occupancy, workforce planning and financial performance.
- Provide visible leadership, coaching and challenge to help local teams deliver at their best.
- Support services to prepare for and respond to CQC requirements, quality audits and improvement plans.
- Identify operational risks early and work collaboratively to put effective actions in place.
- Help drive consistency across the organisation while recognising the individuality of each village.
- Use data, insight and operational intelligence to support decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, commissioners and local communities.
- Contribute to wider strategic projects and organisational development.
About you:
We are looking for someone who understands the complexity of operational leadership in health, social care, housing, hospitality or a similarly people-focused environment. You will bring strong senior leadership experience, commercial awareness and the ability to build relationships quickly with operational teams.
You will:
- Be an experienced operational leader with a track record of delivering service improvement.
- Be confident leading through others across multiple locations or services.
- Be commercially aware, with experience of budgets, performance management and operational planning.
- Be comfortable working with CQC, safeguarding, quality audits and compliance improvement work.
- Be skilled at building relationships with senior stakeholders and frontline leaders, including the Executive Team and General Managers.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
- Able to travel regularly across Belong villages.
- Have experience operating at Regional or Head of Operations level (beneficial).
- Have experience within adult social care, older people’s services, retirement living, housing with care or broader regulated services (highly beneficial).
