The pay for this role is £13.10 p/h
This role is for a temporary contract for 24 hours per week to cover maternity leave.
The Belong catering services are an integral part of our villages, so we need the very best Chefs who will ensure that customers come back time and again. As a Cook, you’ll be working with the catering team to provide our customers with memorable experiences.
Our Cooks are responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen and catering services within the village, producing food that is delicious, nutritious, and attractively presented. We see good food and hospitality as the glue that holds a successful event or special occasion together.
You should have a personality that aims to achieve at all times and the skills to ensure food is presented fresh, appetising, and tasty every time.
There will be opportunities to develop the bistro from day one. The more ideas you contribute to improve our menu and help the Bistro and Catering Manager increase business, the more you can develop your role. - Demonstrates qualities to deliver Belong\’s vision and values appropriate to this level.
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate to a variety of people with different needs.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to control stocks and follow procedures.

- Experience catering for large numbers, e.g., 50 or more.
- Good understanding of the dietary needs of older people or those with physical, cognitive, or sensory impairments.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Good understanding of H&S Regulations, COSHH, and HACCP.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cooking.
- Reliable and able to fulfill contracted hours and work patterns, including days and weekends.
